write in Hindi & other Indian languages on Android Phone


To write in any Indian language, you need to root your handset. This might be the only disadvantage, but yet it will reap good results, only if you can root your device properly. Some of the local languages which you will get access to include Hindi, Kannada, Gujrati, Bengali, Malayalam, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil and Gurmukhi. Following is a detailed list of steps to achieve our objective.
Steps to read/write in Indian languages on your Android platform
1.Root your handset.
2.Download ES File Explorer from the Android Market.
3.Also, download Indian Regional Font.ttf file on your PC.
4.Transfer this file to the SD card of your handset by connecting your handset to your PC through date cable.
5.Open Indian Regional Font.ttf with ES File Explorer on your handset.
6.Go to Setting of ES File Explorer.
7.Enable the Root Explorer.
8.Mount the system as RW for enabling rights.
9.Copy Indian Regional Font.ttf from SD card root and place in /System/Fonts.
10.Reboot your handset to apply changes successfully.
Open any regional language website to check whether it’s working.
